The synthesis of some early RPG game mechanics, with many new innovations, a #D world, party members that were part fo the story,use of chapters, and best of all, an amazing story and game melded together seamlessly. The balance of gameplay, the puzzle chests, combat, quests created a masterpiece of literature and adventure.. and the music is in my opinion the best themed music I have ever heard.
