In this case, this looks like an error -- the official name for the award seems to have been "Film Editing" rather than "Best Film Editing", so the topic for Best Film Editing should just be merged into this one.

The larger issue this brings up, though, is that some award categories change over time (according to Wikipedia, the name of this award is now "Academy Award for Achievement in Film Editing"). The question is, should these be treated as separate categories, each with their own topic, or should equivalent-but-renamed awards use a single topic? Sometimes, the name change is essentially meaningless, in terms of what it implies about qualifying works, but sometimes it's more substantive -- the Academy Award for Best Actor was originally for all actors, leading or supporting. Eventually, there were two awards, one for supporting and one for leading actors. Arguably, the original version of the award is a distict entity (especially considering that both leading and supporting actors were nominated), but most sources, including the official Oscar website, combine Best Actor and Best Actor in a Leading Role.

In other words, "Year" and "Honored for" must be filled in with the same information multiple times if there are multiple winners. I understand why it's this way but it opens the door to typos and frustration.
