Ty Semaka has been designing posters, CD artwork, and T-shirts for the OpenBSD project. He has also been writing songs for the project. CDs of his music are distributed by the OpenBSD project, making them both a software project and a music publisher/record label.

The MusicBrainz data has "OpenBSD" as the musical group for this album, but I think it's more accurate to say that the album is by Ty Semaka and published/distributed by the OpenBSD project. In particular, I think the MusicBrainz data should be attached to the OpenBSD software project (which I've cotyped as a Record Label).

At this time there is an ongoing discussion about how to model "Developers" correctly so as to be able to represent individual developers, software development teams and larger organizations comprised of both . Luke, the “Developer” property from the Software type doesn’t currently have a reciprocal link back from Software Developer. Perhaps it should; I can’t think of a good reason why not.

Yes! I added "Doug Coleman" as a developer of "Factor programming language". However, when you go to Doug's page, there's no hint of his association with the project! There should be a "software projects" field or something like that to indicate which projects he's submitted code to.

People who write software (or aid in the process of creation of code) should always be typed as software developers (at the very least). We don't really have anything to describe the role that people play on software teams which develop software. Eventually, when we do have specific roles for developers in teams, it would merely be a matter of co-typing.

Step 1: Goto the Eric Schmidt Page:

Step 3: Type Google REALLY fast and hit tab.

When you hit save it saves and it adds a new Google.

If you're too slow a typer (LOL) , put Google in your clipboard hit cmd-v then tab and you're set to get this to fail.

Can you recall the exact steps to reproduce this? In earlier versions of Freebase, it was easy to accidentally enter a value before autocomplete had a chance to display anything, and this led to a lot of new (and occasionally bogus) entries. If you can describe what happened in more detail, I will try and reproduce this.

I didn't wait for the type ahead and just added Google and CEO on the Eric Schmidt page.... it didn't ask me to add a new Employer it just did.
