An easy way to find what you're looking for in Freebase is to do a simple search. In the upper right corner of any page, type a search term into the text box, and then click Search. You'll get back a list of the 30 best results and a link to view the next 30 (if there are more than 30). Each search result includes the name of the topic, all of its types, and the first sentence or two from the description about the topic.
Some searches may give you too many results. For example, if you search for the term "Miller", you could wind up with many, many pages of topics. But if you're looking for a particular Miller, say Arthur Miller, try typing the whole name into the text box and searching again.
