Lisa Emily Batey (a.k.a. Nekomimi Lisa and LisaGoddess) is a 24/7 livecaster who has been broadcasting since June 2007 with Justin.tv and with Ustream.tv since July 2007.
Prior to streaming with Justin.tv and Ustream.tv, Lisa Batey was the Director of Content for the now defunct Herenandnow.net. At
HereAndNow.net, Lisa Batey and her housemates shared their college life
experiences via the web’s first live, unedited, 24/7 video streams. Unlike JenniCam and other webcams of the time, Hereandnow.net livecasted content via Windows Media Encoder with full motion video and audio. Lisa
was responsible for all on camera content including everyday camera
shots, scheduling housemate weekly “shows”, and organizing events such
as parties and band appearances. Founded by Erik Vidal, nephew of Gore Vidal, Here and Now began broadcasting in 1999 from Oberlin College with the original “cast” of Erik, Lisa, Mel, Adam, Joe, and Sue. Lisa encouraged camera interaction and believed that community and connection was at the heart of a successful webcast. In 2000, the operation was moved to New Orleans to a large house in the Garden District.
On camera, Lisa Batey was probably best known for her bathtub poetry readings featuring viewers original material. She loved chatting with viewers and was the first in the house to sleep on camera. She
departed from HereAndNow.net in 2001 due to professional disagreements. Hereandnow.net cut broadcasting shortly after her departure.

Since starting her own
broadcast in mid-2007, viewers have been able to follow her through her days at work, her evenings at home in Brooklyn, and nights out in New York City. Bathtub poetry readings have also been reinstated. On August 23rd,
2007, Lisa successfully streamed video from her apartment from the
“Nekobot”, an interactive webcam robot of type SRV-1,
able to be controlled remotely from anywhere in the world.
