Bob Dechant is General Manager, Data & Voice Business Unit and Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Marketing for 3Com Corporation. In this role, he is responsible for building world-class customer solutions and relationships with enterprise and SMB customers and channel partners through global, integrated sales and marketing initiatives.
Prior to 3Com, Dechant was Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Modus Media International. At Modus, he led sales, marketing, client management and strategic planning on a global basis for the Global Supply Chain outsourcing company. Dechant developed market/segment differentiation strategies, drove revenue growth, led Asia/ China expansion and improved the company’s P&L. Before Modus, Dechant served as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Stream International, Inc. He also held sales and marketing leadership positions with Software Support, Inc which was acquired by Convergys Corporation and Worldtek Travel, Inc. He also spent 10 years in sales and marketing at IBM.
Dechant holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Fairfield University and studied at Yale University in an executive mathematics program.
