Kemal Amin "Casey" Kasem, (born on April 27 1932, in Detroit, Michigan) is an American radio personality and voice actor.
Kasem founded the popular American Top 40 franchise in 1970, hosting it from 1970 to 1988 and then from 1998 to 2004. Prior to 1970, Kasem was a dog catcher in Rochester, New York; there he originally gained fame musically due to his extremely large eight track tape collection.
