David Gaub McCullough (mə-kŭl'ə) (born July 7, 1933 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is an American author, narrator, and lecturer. A two-time winner of the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award, McCullough has also received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the United States' highest civilian award. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, McCullough later attended Yale University, earning a degree in English literature.
