Desertshore is the name of a gothic-folk album with neoclassical and avant-garde elements, recorded and released by Nico in 1970. It was co-produced by John Cale and Joe Boyd.
The back and front covers features stills from the film La cicatrice interiere by Philippe Garrel, which starred Nico, Garrel and Ari Boulogne. Several of the songs from this LP are included on the soundtrack of the film.
