DeWitt Bodeen (25 July 1908, Fresno, California — 12 March 1988, Los Angeles, California) was a film screenwriter who today is probably best remembered for writing Cat People (1942). Born Homer DeWitt Bodeen, he began his career as an actor and playwright before entering the film business. In the late 1930s, he began working for RKO and worked his way up to a script writer.
