Gary David Goldberg (born June 25, 1944 - ) is an American writer and producer for television and film, best known for his work on Family Ties and Spin City.
Goldberg was born in Brooklyn, New York. He studied at Brandeis University and San Diego State, ultimately deciding to become a writer. In 1969, he met the woman who would become his wife, Diana Meehan and they founded and ran a day care center in Berkeley, California during the 1970s.
