Lambert Wilson (born August 3, 1958) is a French actor. He is recently known for his portrayal of The Merovingian in The Matrix movies.
Wilson was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, the son of Georges Wilson, who is an actor, theatrical manager and director of the Theatre National de Paris. Wilson is of half Irish and half French descent.
