Leon Shamroy, A.S.C. (16 July 1901, New York City – 7 July 1974, Los Angeles) was an American film cinematographer. Together with Charles Lang A.S.C., he holds the record for most number of Academy Award nominations for Cinematography. Throughout his five-decade career, he garnered eighteen nominations with four wins. From 1953 to his death in 1974, he was married to movie actress Mary Anderson.
