Life Stinks is a 1991 comedy film directed by Mel Brooks. It is known as one of the few Mel Brooks films that is not a satire. The film also co-stars Lesley Ann Warren and Jeffrey Tambor
In order to own a entire slum area of Los Angeles so he can tear it down, A rich businessman makes a bet he can survive on those streets for 30 days completely penniless. During his stay he discovers another side of life and falls in love with a homeless woman.
The film's opening scene closely resembles that of TV Series Columbo's episode "Blueprint for Murder", from the first season of the series.
