Palmyra Atoll (pronounced /pælˈmaɪrə/) is an incorporated atoll administered by the United States federal government. The atoll is 4.6 square miles (12 km²), and it is located in the Northern Pacific Ocean at 5°53′N 162°5′W / 5.883, -162.083.
