Paula Newby-Fraser (born June 2, 1962) is an Ironman triathlete. She was born in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) and raised in South Africa, where she was a nationally-ranked swimmer as a child.
She won the Ironman Triathlon World Championship in Hawaii an unprecedented 8 times in 1986, 1988-1989, 1991-1994, and 1996, four of them consecutively. She is also referred to as "The Queen of Kona".
