Sandymount (Dumhach Thrá in Irish) is a coastal suburb of South Dublin in the Dublin 4 postal district in Ireland. It was once part of Pembroke Township and is in the Dublin South East electoral constituency and the Pembroke East Ward. Sandymount is located in the south east of Dublin, along which the coast road runs from Sandymount Strand down to Merrion Gates. It lies a little south of the Great South Wall in Dublin Bay.
