Shopgirl is a 2005 American romantic drama film directed by Anand Tucker. The screenplay by Steve Martin is based on his bestselling 2000 novella of the same name. Mirabelle Buttersfield, a transplanted Vermont, is an aspiring artist and saleswoman at the evening gloves counter at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills.
