The Clue in the Crumbling Wall is the twenty-second volume in the Nancy Drew mystery series. It was first published in 1945 under the pseudonym Carolyn Keene. The actual author was ghostwriter Mildred Wirt Benson. When Nancy is asked to find a professional dancer who disappeared several years before, the young detective becomes involved in a mystery reaching far beyond a missing-person's case.
