The Simpsons tenth season originally aired between August 23, 1998 and May 16, 1999, beginning with "Lard of the Dance" which was aired earlier than normal to promote the premiere of That '70s Show. The season contained four hold-over episodes from the season 9 (5F) production line. It also saw the start of the new XABFXX production code, which has continued to this day.
The DVD set comes in two varieties – a limited edition Bart Simpson head-shaped box and a standard rectangular box with artwork prominently featuring Bart riding a cart to a movie studio. The box set was released in Region 1 on August 7th, 2007, Region 2 on September 10, 2007 and Region 4 on September 26, 2007.
