Upsetter Records was a record label set up by Lee "Scratch" Perry in 1968. He also opened the Upsetter Record Shop where he sold the records he produced. In 1969, Scratch had become one of the leading upstart producers, and was beginning to gather a crowd. Perry formed a band, The Upsetters, consisting among others of future Wailers rhythm section Aston Barrett and Carlton Barrett.
