Visp (French Viège) is the capital of the district of Visp in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. Its population is around 7,000. The two valleys are Mattertal and Saastal. It borders with Brig-Glis. The majority of the population is German-speaking. Its chemical industry is named LONZA AG. There are smaller businesses.
