Wojciech Jerzy Has (born April 1, 1925 in Kraków - died October 3, 2000 in Łódź, Poland) was a Polish film director, screenwriter and producer. During the German occupation of Poland of World War II, Has studied at the Kraków Business and Commerce College and later took underground classes at the Kraków Academy of Fine Arts - until it was disbanded in 1943.
