Brown County is a county located in the U.S. state of Minnesota. As of 2000, the population was 26,911. Its county seat is New Ulm. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 619 square mile (1,602 km²), of which, 611 square miles (1,582 km²) of it is land and 8 square miles (20 km²) of it (1.25%) is water.
