American Flagg! is a comic book series created by Howard Chaykin which was published by First Comics from 1983 to 1989, and was set around the United States government in the early 2030s. Writers included Alan Moore, and J.M. DeMatteis.
American Flagg was one of the first titles to be published by the newly formed First Comics in 1983. It proved to be a major success for Chaykin and First Comics and fans were won over by Chaykin's handling of more mature themes not common in comics at the time...
