North Ryde

North Ryde is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. North Ryde is located 15 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the City of Ryde. North Ryde is in the Lower North Shore region of Sydney. North Ryde is one of Australia's major business districts and is home to many corporate headquarters. Sometimes known as the "City of Lifestyle and Technology", it is home to such companies as Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, Sun Microsystems and other computer companies. Together with the sprawling campus of Macquarie University, North Ryde provides a modern lifestyle for its residents including those from the university academe and the research sector. Ryde, East Ryde and West Ryde are separate suburbs. North Ryde shares the postcode of 2113 with adjacent suburbs Macquarie Park and East Ryde.
