Westerbork is a town in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Midden-Drenthe. The village gives its name to the Westerbork deportation and later, concentration camp, located about 7 km north of the village, in the forests of Hooghalen. The Westerbork Synthesis Radio Telescope (WSRT) array was installed near the site of the camp in 1969. Westerbork was a separate municipality until 1998, when it became part of Middenveld.
