Everybody Hurts

"Everybody Hurts" is the forty-fifth episode of the HBO original series The Sopranos and was the sixth of the show's fourth season. It was written by Michael Imperioli, directed by Steve Buscemi and originally aired on Sunday October 20 2002. Christopher is still injecting heroin and has just taken a hit and started to fall asleep when he gets a call from Tony, who wants to see him. When Chris arrives, Tony notices his intoxication but Chris passes it off as being from wine he had with Adriana. Tony tells Chris that he is going to be giving orders through him in the future because of their family ties and that Chris will take the family into the 21st century—Chris points out that they are already there but Tony doesn't seem to follow. A.J. hangs out with his friends Matt Testa, Patrick Whalen and Jason Malatesta and girlfriend Devin Pillsbury in a basement.
