It was released in 2002 in the U.S. and 2003 in other countries. The cartridge comprises a modified port of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, and an original multiplayer-only game titled Four Swords—the first multiplayer Zelda game.
The single-player portion of the cartridge is a port of A Link to the Past, the SNES title originally released in 1991. A handful of cosmetic changes are made for this version, including voice samples originally used for young Link in Ocarina of Time and an additional dungeon, the Palace of the Four Sword.
