"Child's Play" was the seventh episode of the HBO series Tanner '88 to air. It originally aired on May 16, 1988.
In this episode, Jack has now learned through Joanna that Stringer tried to join the Dukakis campaign. Although Jack is unhappy with this news, he and Stringer manage to talk things over.
The Tanner campaign holds a fundraiser targeting young voters. At the fundraiser, many famous celebrities are in attendance as Jack speaks to the crowd. In the middle of his speech, Jack notices that Deke is filming him. It is revealed that Jack had fired Deke after the events of "Bagels with Bruce". However, Jack soon learns that Molly Hark has recently hired Deke as her own cameraman.
