"Bomb Shelter" is the 50th episode of the HBO original series, Six Feet Under. It was the 11th episode for the show's fourth season. The episode was written by Scott Buck and directed by Nicole Holofcener. It originally aired on August 29, 2004. Brenda tells Nate that they could have a wonderful child, but it takes about a year for a woman her age to conceive. Nate agrees, but wants to think about it before making a rash decision. At a dinner with Barb and Hoyt, Barb asks Nate why Lisa's ashes weren't pulverized enough. In a moment of guilt, Nate reveals to them that he buried Lisa's body in the desert, giving her what she wanted. In Lisa's place, Nate had given them ashes from a cremation that were never claimed. Barb instantly shouts at Nate that she really wants Lisa's daughter to not be raised "by a woman she hated."
