Brenda tells Nate that they could have a wonderful child, but it takes about a year for a woman her age to conceive. Nate agrees, but wants to think about it before making a rash decision. At a dinner with Barb and Hoyt, Barb asks Nate why Lisa's ashes weren't pulverized enough. In a moment of guilt, Nate reveals to them that he buried Lisa's body in the desert, giving her what she wanted. In Lisa's place, Nate had given them ashes from a cremation that were never claimed. Barb instantly shouts at Nate that she really wants Lisa's daughter to not be raised "by a woman she hated."
