Andrew Wellman is an American novelist. He was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1968.After winning the 1989 Playboy College Fiction Contest for the short story, "The Madison Heights Syndrome", his novel, S.F.W. was published in 1991 and made into a 1994 feature film starring Stephen Dorff and Reese Witherspoon.
