Geppetto is a 2000 made for television remake of the popular children’s book Pinocchio Starring Drew Carey and Julia Louis-Dreyfus it featured new original songs written just for the production by Stephen Schwartz (composer). Geppetto dearly wishes to become a father, and one day his wish is granted by the Blue Fairy, and she brings to life a wooden puppet made by Geppetto himself named Pinocchio.In the beginning everything is rosy for the new family, yet slowly things begin to unravel culminated with Pinocchio running away. Geppetto, thinking Pinocchio would rather live with the evil Stromboli, washes his hand of the whole matter and tries to go back to his lonely life. Stromboli, however, had kidnapped Pinocchio and was using him as the main attaction in his puppet show.
