For more than two decades, Paul Lego has developed and led profitable and innovative Silicon Valley companies. He has served as a key member of several executive management teams, overseeing and growing those companies through both good times as well as adversity. Paul's interest in video and rich media led him to Virage, a company that developed the world's first technology to automatically capture, encode and index television, video and audio content from any source. For more than eight years, Paul acted as chairman, president and CEO, leading the company through multiple rounds of funding, a $50 million IPO and acquisition by Autonomy Corporation. Prior to Virage, Lego was executive vice president, COO, and a board member at Digidesign, a manufacturer of digital audio recording systems. Digidesign went public in 1993 and was bought by Avid Technology in 1994. Paul has also held positions at Pyramid Technology Corporation, the General Electric Company, and Digital Equipment Corporation. Lego received a master's degree with highest distinction from the Harvard Business School, and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University. He is a member of the Young Presidents Organization and serves on the board of trustees for the San Francisco Ballet.
