City and Colour is an acoustic side-project fronted by Dallas Green, rhythm guitarist and singer for the Canadian post-hardcore band Alexisonfire. The current line-up also consists of Spencer Burton, Daniel Tavis Romano and Matt Sullivan.
The name City and Colour comes from his own name: Dallas and Green. His reasoning for the name was that he felt uneasy "putting the album out under the name Dallas Green".
Green said that he had been writing material since he was around the age of 14 ....
