Kate Brown (born June 21, 1960 in Spain), is a Democratic American politician and attorney serving in the Oregon State Senate. She is the Democratic nominee for Oregon Secretary of State in the 2008 elections.
She has been Majority Leader since 2004 and is the first woman to hold that post. Brown represents Oregon's 21st senate district, which includes portions of Northeast and Southeast Portland and Milwaukie.
