The V.I.P.'s formed in Carlisle, (North West England) in 1963. Members were: Mike Harrison (voc), Greg Ridley (b), Frank Kenyon (g) (1963-67), Jimmy Henshaw (g) (1963-67), Luther Grosvenor (g) (1967-68), Walter Johnstone (dr) (1963-67) Mike Kellie (dr) (1967-68). They were one of the first groups signed to Island Records. With no success, the band became known as "Art" (one album, Supernatural Fairy Tales issued) and then Spooky Tooth.
