Gandhi Memorial International School was found in 1950, and it is one of the international schools schools in Jakarta, Indonesia. The GMIS has moved to a new modern campus in 2004 located in Kemayoran (Central Jakarta), while the old campus is used for the Pre-School. Currently, GMIS contains nearly 2000 students from around the globe, with about 50 nationalities. However, the majority of students and staff are Koreans and Indians.
