ORDO, Jahrbuch für die Ordnung von Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft (The Annual Review of Economic and Social Order) is a peer-reviewed academic journal first published by German economists Walter Eucken and Franz Böhm in 1948. The periodical focusses on the economic and political institutions governing modern society. Its mission is to provide a forum of debate for scholars of diverse disciplines such as economics, law, political science, sociology, and philosophy. The term ordoliberalism was labelled echoing the journal’s title. ORDO is published annually and serves as a kind of signboard for German political and institutional economists. Articles are published in German as well as in English. Each volume of ORDO consists of approximately 450 pages. Average article length is about 17 pages. ODRO also contains book reviews.
